Trout Fishing....Instructional Fly Fishing Trips at Bennett Springs
In between trips to Smithville, Pomme, Truman, etc. I like to go to Bennett Springs and do a little trout fishing. My dad has a place near the trout park, so we can be down there fishing without much planning or notice. If you read the "About Me" section on this website you'd know that I "cut my fishing teeth" trout fishing. Beginnning this year, I think that I've been fishing at Bennett for almost 40 years. Wow, that's a long time!
When I fish Bennett I'm constantly amazed by how few fish people catch. Most folks get up early to make the buzzer and keep everything they catch to fill out their 4-trout limit. For me, having 40, 50, and even 100 fish days at Bennett are very common, and I even sleep in and skip the buzzer and the early morning crowds. Over the years I've helped a number of people catch fish at Bennett, so I've decided to add this as a service....instructional fishing trips at Bennett Springs.
Here are the particulars....
$200 guide fee
Full day fishing on the stream in the fly fishing zones only....8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Gear provided including Sage rods, Lamson reels, leaders/tippets, and custom-made flies
Lessons on how to cast, tie knots, fly use and presentation, catching and handling fish
Fish cleaning if requested
